Dr. JJ Van Oosten holds an MBA from London Business School and is a CEO, CDO, Chairman, and Independent Board Member with more than 20 years of experience in digitalization, e-commerce, and omnichannel transformation. Throughout his career, he has led five major digital transformation projects at large-scale companies, including Rewe Group, Tesco plc, Travis Perkins plc, LEGO Group, and Kingfisher plc, delivering significant revenue growth in e-commerce businesses through new ventures, scaling, and mergers and acquisitions. He has held extensive P&L responsibility as CEO of Rewe-Digital and CDO of Kingfisher plc, and led the acquisition of commercetools, which has since become one of the world’s leading commerce platforms.
He currently serves as an Independent Board Member at DER Group and Toom Baumarkt; continues to serve as Chairman at Zooroyal.de, commercetools.com, KoelnerWeinkeller.de, and Needhelp.com; and also provides digital advisory services to Sonae Group.
