Steps That Change Association

Social Value@work

With the EsasGM Shopping Mall Sustainability Committees - Colorful Campus project, we aim to realize a social responsibility initiative that focuses on sustainability. Our colleagues working in shopping malls develop projects on environmental awareness and social responsibility.

  • They work on topics such as Household Waste Oil Management and Forest Fire Prevention Awareness, and they carry out the results of their work in collaboration with a Non-Governmental Organization.

Collaboration with the YANINDAYIZ Assocation

In collaboration with the YANINDAYIZ Association, we increased your awareness of fundamental concepts frequently encountered in family, social, environmental, and professional life, such as gender and gender equality, gender-based division of labor, discriminatory language, inequality between women and men in social life, types of discrimination, types of violence, gender equality, and gender blindness. Through this event, we achieved new gains in this area.

  • Gender Equality Awareness Trainings
  • Change Your Discourse Workshops
  • Violence Awareness Seminars
  • We Are On Watch Event with the We Stand By You Association on November 25th, International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women
  • Barber Shop Conversations

Sabancı University – BADV Collaboration

By taking a corporate stance against domestic violence, we have joined the BADV – Business World Against Domestic Violence Project as of 2025.

  • We made the effects of domestic violence on working life visible.
  • We raised awareness within the institution. (webinars explaining types of violence were organized)
  • We developed zero-tolerance policies for violence.
  • We created support mechanisms for our colleagues who are subjected to violence. (psychological support, one-on-one support via the "I need support" button, legal counseling)
  • The project process is still actively ongoing; we continue our corporate transformation journey with the guidance of BADV.

TEV

Istanbul Marathon Participation and Donation Project

As Esas Gayrimenkul, we participate in the Istanbul Marathon every year as part of our socially responsible activities. Our colleagues ran on behalf of the Turkish Education Foundation (TEV), not only demonstrating the unifying power of sport but also taking a meaningful step towards equal opportunities in education.

In this way, while supporting the education of young people, an important reflection of our corporate social responsibility was demonstrated.

Un Woman

By signing the UN WEPs, we, as an organization that has signed the United Nations Women's Empowerment Principles, are concretizing our commitment to providing women with equal opportunities in education, development, promotion, compensation, and representation.

  • Gender balance is considered a fundamental goal in talent management.
  • Male-female ratios are reported regularly by department and level.
  • Representation at leadership levels is addressed through specific development plans to achieve target ratios.
  • Promotion and appointment processes are based on objective criteria such as knowledge, skills, experience, competence, and potential.
