Çağatay Özdoğru is responsible for all of ESAS’s business lines and investment strategies, including real estate, private equity, asset management, venture capital, and social investment. He also serves on the investment committees or boards of directors of these business lines. He is a Board Member of ESAS Gayrimenkul and several private equity portfolio companies, including Pegasus Airlines.
Özdoğru joined ESAS in 2005 as a member of the Executive Committee and has served as Group CEO since 2010. He played a key role in establishing and developing ESAS Private Equity Investments both in Türkiye and internationally. He has managed numerous private equity investments and exits for ESAS, particularly in portfolio companies such as UN Ro-Ro, Mars Cinema Group, Mars Athletics, and Peyman.
Prior to joining ESAS, he served as President of Information and Telecommunications Investments at Sabancı Holding. Previously, Özdoğru held various positions in the technology and telecommunications sectors, most recently serving as Vice President responsible for the Middle East and Africa region at Global One, part of the France Telecom Group.
Since the establishment of KUES (Koç University–ESAS Center for Alternative Investments) in 2025, Çağatay Özdoğru has served as Vice Chairman of its Executive Board. He has also been a Board Member of the Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) since 2025.
Özdoğru served as Chairman of the Türkiye–France Business Council at DEİK (Foreign Economic Relations Board of Türkiye) from 2020 to 2026. He also served as a Board Member of TÜSİAD (Turkish Industry and Business Association) from 2022 to 2026. Previously, he chaired the Türkiye–Sweden and Türkiye–Croatia Business Councils and served as a Board Member of TBV (Turkish Informatics Foundation) and TÜBİSAD (Turkish Informatics Industry Association).
Çağatay Özdoğru holds a master’s degree in Electrical Engineering from The George Washington University, where he received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2016, and a bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Istanbul Technical University.
